2010 NYS TT Championships - Silver Medal

This past weekend was the 2010 NYS Time Trial Championships just outside of Saratoga Springs in Cambridge, NY where they hold the Tour of the Battenkill in the spring.  The TT was a 40k out and back from NY into VT with close to 1,000 of climbing in 90 degree heat and sunny skies, plus some variable road conditions.  Let’s just say you almost needed to ride in the middle of the road, as if your rode near the white line it was like riding on cobbles.

Rick was Monroe’s lone particpant in this years state championships and competed in the Master’s 35-39 category.  With a hard day battling the heat, road conditions and a heart-rate that wouldn’t stay down - Rick brought home the Silver Medal for the team with a 40k ride in just over 59 minutes.  A good showing for the team, as this was the first state championship event we’ve competed in and Rick was able to get a Silver Medal for his effort.

Great result! Monroe/SBR is having a great first season. GVCC was very strong at this year's NYS RR and TT Championships.
